Firefighter protective suit “Firefighter Euro-4”

Firefighter protective clothing (Special Protective Suit) (hereinafter — FPC) is intended to protect the firefighter’s body — namely the torso, neck, arms up to the wrists, and legs up to the ankles — from hazardous fire factors and fire-extinguishing agents during fire suppression and fire-rescue operations.

DSTU EN ISO 13688:2016, DSTU EN ISO 11612:2018, DSTU EN 343:2017 — waterproofness class “3”; DSTU EN 469:2017 — protection level II; DSTU EN ISO 20471:2016 — class 1.

Construction

Firefighter protective clothing (FPC) is made of the following layers of materials:

  • heat-resistant;

  • waterproof;

  • thermal insulation;

  • lining.

The thermal insulation and lining layers are combined.

When the thermal insulation and lining layers are combined, their total surface density is not less than 170 g/m².

To improve operational performance, additional materials are used:

  • wear-resistant material for elbow and knee pads, as well as inserts that prevent the impact of dirt, liquids, etc., on elements of the garment;

  • material for cuffs at the sleeve ends;

  • material that prevents moisture from penetrating the thermal insulation and lining layers;

  • high-visibility (reflective) strips;

  • other accessories (zippers, hook-and-loop fasteners, frames, half-rings, etc.).

Accessories located on the exterior of the FPC do not affect the inner surface of the garment.
