Summer arc-flash protective suit (8 cal/cm², type 2/1)
The suit is intended to provide comprehensive protection for electrical personnel against harmful occupational factors, primarily the thermal energy generated during an arc-flash event, during operational and technical servicing, as well as installation, repair and adjustment tasks performed on various types of electrical equipment.
Construction
The summer arc-flash protective suit (8 cal/cm², type 2/1) consists of a jacket and trousers.
Arc Rating: 8 cal/cm².
The jacket is grey with reflective strips, straight-cut, with a central zipper closure covered by a placket, a stand-up collar, and set-in sleeves. The front panel consists of three parts: a yoke, a central section, and a side section. On the side sections, there are lower patch pockets measuring at least 20×19 cm with flaps, and upper patch pockets measuring at least 14×15 cm with flaps. On the inside of the left front panel, there is an internal patch pocket. The back has a yoke and two vertical shaped seams. The sleeves are two-seamed with an attached cuff. The cuff has a button fastening.
The trousers are grey with reflective strips, straight-cut, with a zipper closure in the center seam of the front panels, an attached waistband, and belt loops. The front panel includes a side patch pocket with a slanted opening and a shaped knee pad. The waistband fastens with a button and includes an elastic insert on the side seams.
Placement of flame-resistant reflective strips:
– on the front panels — along the lower edge of the yokes;
– on the back — under the yoke;
– at the sleeve hems;
– at the hems of the front and back trouser panels.
